Varicose veins and endovascular laser

Multidiode Endo™ laser 1470 4G: a unique alternative for the treatment of varicose veins

INTRODUCTION

Varicose veins are a common vascular pathology in the developed countries affecting 10% of the adult population. This percentage increases year after year, due to factors such as obesity, inheritance, pregnancy, gender, hormonal factors and habits such as a long standing or sedentary life.

Global leader in endovenous laser treatment with Multidiode Endo™ laser 1470 4G

INTERmedic, world pioneer in the endovenous laser technique for varicose veins treatment with Multidiode Endo™ laser 1470 4G, provides a delicate and effective alternative to conventional treatment of this pathology.

  • Minimally invasive
  • Proven effectiveness
  • Numerous global references
  • Rapid return to daily activities
  • Outpatient procedure and reduced downtime

Multidiode  Endo™ laser 1470 4G:  the safe, comfortable and effective alternative

Multidiode Endo™ laser 1470 4G is an alternative to remove varicose veins full of advantages. The procedure is safe, fast, and more comfortable than conventional surgical techniques such as saphenectomy or phlebectomy.

Optimal results in endovenous treatment

Multidiode Endo™ laser 1470 4G is indicated for the treatment of internal and external saphenous and collateral veins, on an outpatient basis. The procedure is performed under local anesthesia and consists of introducing a very thin flexible laser fiber into the damaged vein, through a very small incision (2 -3 mm). Fiber is guided under ecodoppler and transillumination control, until it reaches the optimum position for treatment.

Once the fiber is located, the Multidiode Endo™ laser 1470 4G is activated, delivering energy pulses of 4 -5 seconds, while the fiber begins to slowly pull out. Delivered laser energy makes the treated varicose vein to retract, occluding it at each energy pulse.

PRODUCT

Multidiode Endo™ Laser 1470 4G is a semiconductor diode laser delivering  homogeneous density energy into the tissue. Its laser wavelength (1470 nm)  is well absorbed by water from the blood or venous wall, allowing to obliterate the vein. Heat is generated in the area of optical penetration by direct absorption of the laser energy.

Great advantages:

  • Greater selective destruction venous wall
  • Intuitive touch screen
  • Portable compact system
  • Efficiency with the most advanced technology

INTERmedic’s Multidiode Endo™ laser 1470 4G is indicated for minimally invasive endovenous treatment of all sizes of varicose veins (internal and external saphenous and collateral veins). It is the most innovative and comfortable treatment, both for the patient and for the doctor, for the surgical removal of varicose veins.

Two models: 1500nm and 980nm

INTERmedic offers different configurations of its endovenous laser:

  • The most advanced and effective technology with 1500nm and 980nm diode lasers (Multidiode Endo™  laser 1470 4G (1500 nm) and classic Multidiode Endo™ laser 980 (980nm)
  • New patented ENDOtulip fiber which does not touch the wall of the vein for maximum safety
