INTERmedic facilitates safe and effective restoration of the lachrymal ducts

The endonasal, trans-canalicular treatment of obstructed lachrymal ducts is a minimally invasive ophthalmologic procedure.
The gentle laser assisted dacryocystorhinostomy can be performed under local anesthesia. For endonasal procedures, a highly flexible optical fiber is introduced into the working channel of a rigid endoscope.
The trans-illuminative property of the laser fiber permits perfect visual control of the treatment process, allowing rapid and very precise operating at the highest degree of patient safety. This minimally invasive method protects the natural anatomy of the endonasal cavity, ensuring safe and effective restoration of the lachrymal ducts’ proper function.
