Optimized wavelength Working at a wavelength of 980 nm INTERmedic Surgical Series™ is optimized for minimally invasive, open and endoscopic surgery as well as for interstitial laser therapy. Diode laser emission in the infrared light spectrum allows transmission through highly flexible fiber optics and adaptation to different hand application sets for a wide variety of applications. Highly flexible optical fibers Surgical Series™ includes flexible fibers with core diameters between 400 µm and 1000 µm. For tissue treatment the fiber optics are applied in different hand application sets, specifically adapted to a variety of applications. The fibers are also adaptable to the majority of endoscopes. Innovative hand piece technology The Surgical Series™ hard aluminum hand pieces can be adapted to each application. Ergonomically designed they can be sterilized and magnetized for highest user comfort. Apart from a choice of straight and curved standard hand pieces, INTERmedic additionally supplies the latest laser hand piece technology with an integrated irrigation system. Optimized for oral and maxillofacial surgery, simultaneous irrigation of the hand piece during laser application permits the safe and effective ablation of large tissue zones with no risk of carbonization.
